How Should I React?
...Christ proved God's passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! (Romans 5:8 TPT)
God did not wait for us to clean up our messy lives before He sent Christ to die in our place. Instead, without any hesitation, God sent us a big I LOVE YOU by gifting us with His Son. While we were still in the land of the lost; living on our own terms, and not having had the chance to earn His bestowal (which we could never do anyway), God decides to prove His love.
You can say, God did not react to our sin, but reacted to His love.
This is a prime example of what divine love looks like. It is not of this world. This love gives all, at the risk of getting nothing in exchange; because real love is not a transaction it is a reaction.
Do you want to change the world? You can! Once we discard the standards allocated by humanity and allow our love output to reach the bar that Jesus has set for us, you can be sure a heavenly shift is on its way!
So I give you now a new commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you. (John 13:34 TPT)
